11.09 Snapshot Linaro+Android Baseline Release

Just wanted to announce the availability of the September 2011 Linaro/Android baseline development snapshot: linux-linaro-3.0-2011.09-0-android-1 This is based on the linux-linaro-3.0-2011.09-0 kernel + the upstream Android branch from Google, and provides the base kernel tree that LT android trees can use. Improvements to kernel deb-pkg target for continuous integration

Hi, Here are two patches that are needed for the kernel CI effort. I would appreciate reviews on my first kernel patches to be submitted, and guidance for where to send them to get them accepted upstream. Needed in order to run the target when cross-building. Needed in order to stop jobs in the CI system from overwriting each others files. Thanks, James

The provided linaro-media-create command allows writing Linaro images to a SD card, or generating an image file which you can boot in QEMU. (new) linaro-image-tools_2011.08.orig.tar.gz optional devel (new) python-linaro-image-tools_2011.08-1_all.deb optional python Python library for the manipulation of Linaro bootable media Linaro images are generated by combining generic tarballs with hardware-specific packs (hwpacks). . This package provides a Python library to generate Linaro images and write them to SD cards or image files that you can be boot in QEMU. . It also provides a Python library to aid with the creation of hardware packs. Changes: linaro-image-tools (2011.08-1) unstable; urgency=low . * Initial upload to Debian. (Closes: #641951) * Add patches: - use_python_2.7.patch on Debian, current python default version is 2.6 and pyparted version is 3.6. PyParted 3.6 is not compatible with python versions prior to 2.7. To work-around, we force to use python2.7. - increase_sleep_after_sfdisk.patche race condition, we create the partitions using sfdisk but before udisks get notified about them we query udisks for information about them, which fails. To work-around, we increase the sleep to 5s. * Switch to dh_python2. * Bump X-Python-Version to 2.7 (required by python-parted >= 3.6). * Bump python-parted dependency to >= 3.6. Override entries for your package: Announcing to debian-devel-changes(a)lists.debian.org Closing bugs: 641951 Your package contains new components which requires manual editing of the override file. It is ok otherwise, so please be patient. New packages are usually added to the override file about once a week. You may have gotten the distribution wrong. You'll get warnings above if files already exist in other distributions.

ddeb/vmlinux for kernel debug

Hi Linaro people, I am using the latest nano filesystem and hwpack from the Linaro download page for Panda. I am looking for the vmlinux image for kernel debug. I understood from a recent conversation in ARM that this is/will be generated for Linaro releases, but maybe this is not yet the case? It seems so essential for kernel debug and profiling ? This is the debian package from the HWPACK: linux-image-3.0.0-1402-linaro-lt-omap_3.0.0-1402.4~ppa~natty_armel.deb Any help would be much appreciated.
